Overview
Pour Kit is an offline iOS app published by Darak that helps concrete contractors estimate pour volumes, track orders, and log quality-control data in the field. This policy explains what the app does with the information you enter and the device permissions it requests. In short: everything stays on your device. We do not run servers, we do not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not track you.
Information You Enter in the App
Everything in Pour Kit is information you type or attach yourself. This may include:
- Pour names, dimensions, mix specs, and unit costs
- Job-site addresses (including coordinates if you pick a location on the map)
- Contact information you choose to save for an order (names, phone numbers, emails of the contractor, producer, or person placing the order)
- Quality-control log entries (dates, slump, air content, temperature, sample IDs, test results, notes)
- Photos you attach to a QC log (up to three per entry)
This information is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to Darak or to any third party by the app.
Permissions We Request
Pour Kit only asks for the permissions it needs to do its job:
- Location (While Using the App) — optional. Used only when you open the site-location picker, so the map can center near you and convert a pin into a readable address.
- Photo Library — optional. Used only when you attach photos to a QC log entry.
Pour Kit does not request access to the camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, health data, or advertising identifiers, and it does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Where Your Data Lives
Pour Kit stores all of its data on your iOS device. Pour records, order metadata, and QC entries are kept in the app's UserDefaults store as JSON. Photos attached to QC logs are saved as JPEG files in the app's Application Support directory under a folder named PourLogPhotos. The app contains no networking code and does not transmit your data to any server. We do not use any third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or remote configuration.
Apple Services Pour Kit Relies On
Pour Kit uses a handful of Apple-provided frameworks that may communicate with Apple on your behalf:
- StoreKit 2 — handles the one-time in-app purchase for Pour Kit Pro. Payment information is processed by Apple; the app only sees the transaction receipt.
- MapKit and Core Location — used to show the map and reverse-geocode the coordinates you pick. These interactions are between your device and Apple.
Apple's use of this information is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your Pour Kit data stays on your device until you delete it. You can remove an individual pour from within the app, or you can uninstall Pour Kit to delete every pour, order, QC log, and attached photo the app has stored. Because there is no cloud component, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
iCloud Backups
Pour Kit does not use iCloud or CloudKit for syncing. However, iOS may include Pour Kit's local data in standard device backups if you have iCloud Backup or device backups enabled in your system settings. You control that setting in iOS.
Children's Privacy
Pour Kit is a professional tool for concrete contractors and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will also be reflected in the app's release notes on the App Store.
